Contract Wars

Through a city-wide bilingual public affairs campaign, Crawford Strategies was able to use a combination of paid and earned print and television media efforts to bolster public support for key issues that the Boston Teachers Union fought for during more than thirteen months of contract negotiations.

This coordinated issues advocacy campaign was elemental in not only securing a landmark four-year contract for the BTU, but also obtaining much needed health care benefits for teachers, an increase in wages, and winning on the vital issue of sustaining smaller class sizes.

The Boston Teachers Union is the largest public labor union in New England.
