2009 HONK! Festival

Crawford Strategies successfully coordinated a proactive media campaign for the 2009 HONK! Festival. In just a few short weeks, we worked to get the three day festival of activist street bands in-print, on-air and online.

The grassroots, non-profit celebration has grown into one of the Boston area’s premier events. Our team combined both traditional and cutting edge PR tactics to get the word out and attract the festival’s largest audience to date.

Crawford Strategies is always expanding in different directions and utilizing new media tools. Associates took the festival online, putting HONK! on Twitter, working with the festival website and submitting the event to Boston.com, Eventful.com, and ArtsBoston.org.

Honkfest appeared in over a dozen newspapers and magazines. It was featured in the Boston Globe, Boston Herald, The Metro and Weekly Dig.

HONK! was also featured on numerous radio stations, including WERS, WMBR, and NPR’s local affiliate.
