Stephen G. Crawford, founder and principal of Crawford Strategies, has honed his communications skills on issues large and small, working at the local, state, and national levels for more than 30 years. He has served several turns in consulting practice at Washington, D.C. and Boston firms.
A graduate of the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Crawford also earned a Master of Science degree at Boston University’s College of Communications. In 1982 he joined the Governor’s Press Office in the Massachusetts State House under Governor Michael Dukakis, serving as deputy press secretary during the 1988 presidential campaign and press secretary in 1990.
After leaving state government, Crawford applied his education and experience to the health care and academic fields. He is often asked to serve as a consultant for education, labor, and political issues. Crawford also has significant experience with superior and federal court cases.
